Wednesday, February 22, 2023, was an exciting day for men in Arkansas! Rep. Fred Allen of District 77 in the state House of Representatives invited APCF Executive Director, Chris Collier, to the Arkansas Capitol where Act 66 of 2023 was signed into law.
What is Act 66 of 2023? Act 66 of 2023 is a bill that brings Act 75 up to date and requires health insurance companies in the state of Arkansas continue to cover prostate cancer screenings for every man over the age of 40.
Rep. Allen is a prostate cancer survivor not once but twice! “Thankfully though, because I got my screening, I have the opportunity to be tired. I have the opportunity to serve my constituents, and I have the opportunity to be a father and grandfather. I’m blessed, and I want everyone else to have those same opportunities in Arkansas.”
