What is the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation?
APCF was founded in 2000 by six businessmen who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We encourage awareness, promote timely detection, and support improved treatment of prostate cancer across Arkansas. We believe no man should fight this disease alone.
Where does the funding go and what is it used for?
APCF will receive all proceeds from No Shave November. All money raised will support APCF’s free awareness and educational programs, free prostate cancer screenings, and free patient assistance programs. EVERY DOLLAR RAISED STAYS IN ARKANSAS.
Sponsorship Levels and Benefits
The event will include a month-long campaign of promoting APCF, men not shaving to raise awareness, and posting photos of involvement.
Based on past results, we anticipate schools, churches, businesses, police and fire departments, civic and community organizations, and individuals statewide to participate in the campaign.
There will be prizes awarded for several categories, including best beard, worst beard, you actually haven’t shaved for 30 days, as well as for the top school, police or fire, business, and municipality for most money raised.
We will be promoting the campaign on Little Rock, Arkansas CBS affiliate television station THV-11.
All proceeds from the event will benefit and support the programs of the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation (APCF), a 501c(3) tax-exempt nonprofit. All money raised remains in Arkansas.
Remember – It is all for a great cause and a wonderful way to have fun!
